Kerala was my first stop in India: verdant, hot, extremely humid and beautiful. One of the most progressive and rich states, Kerala is a feast for the heart and eyes. These are pictures from the first part of my trip.

The main center of Kerala, far more bustling and interesting than capitol city Trivandrum, Kochi might be touristy, but definitely has some particular angles to it. The fact we arrived in low season was just an additional advantage to enjoy its shady colonial streets....

There is not much else to say... Hampi was great. Although being touristy, this attraction of Karnataka state feels as relaxed as you were the only people there. We were lucky enough to find out about the elephant washing in the ghats, and we spent some fantastic days there, motorbiking and exploring the surrounding kilometers of temples and rocky deserts.
