Questo blog potrebbe rimanere “chiuso” almeno fino al 27 luglio. Perche’? Semplice, perche’ il mio periodo di lavoro in Cina e’ terminato, ed e’ ora che la vecchia Scimmia rimetta le gambe in spalla e inizi a girare di nuovo… per cominciare, deviazione verso Nord, in Mongolia. Un paese che fino a poco tempo fa non avevo particolarmente considerato, ma che poi e’ diventato un po’ come un’ossessione, sempre davanti agli occhi con una classe di mongoli da sopportare per ore e ore al giorno… cosi’ vicino alla Cina dove sto io, era improponibile non decidere di fare una visita a uno dei paesi piu’ selvaggi che si possono ancora trovare al mondo.
Chiedo scusa quindi se interrompero’ le comunicazioni per un po’, ma non avro’ ancora un computer sempre appresso (situazione che cambiera’ dalla fine di luglio, restate sintonizzati) e soprattutto, vorro’ godermi un po’ di agognato nulla dopo troppa umanita’ puzzolente cinese. A rileggerci quindi tra qualche settimana…e buone vacanze a chi di voi le fa in questi giorni!!

Sometimes a video is better than a thousand words, and this might be the case. I took this with a photocamera while I was wandering around Zhongdian’s streets. This city is the southeasternmost corner of Tibet and is most commonly know between the Chinese as “Shangri La”. I turned around a corner in the cobbled paved old city, and this is what I found. Sorry for the low quality resolution, but sometimes it’s better to capture the glimpse of a moment, rather than have it just stuck into my head. FREE TIBET!!

I decided to put together a brief How To of traveling in China. This really just covers up the basics,  expect more random tutorials in the future. Everything is based on my own experience, or better, the one of a person with no knowledge of Chinese language and a pretty good sense of adventure and travel. Yes, because if you are looking for a relaxed, 5 star Chinese experience you can surely get that, but at the risk of spoiling it all of its true sense. Because China is a place that you really can’t understand if you don’t dive deep into it and its people. (more…)
