Southeast Asian Punk, more and more… and more!!

I am busier and busier and have always less time to set my online life at pace with my real life. Luckily, it got to be pretty interesting, as of late.
Last weekend, on Saturday 17th December, I played my first Kuala Lumpur show with WEOTSKAM, supporting Swedish crust-punks Harda Tider. I cannot say much about them because I have not had the pleasure to stay for their set, as I had to take a bus back to Penang on the same evening, got back at 4 am, drove Azrul back home on my motorbike and got lost around Sungai Ara, and I managed to get back home at 5.30 am. The next day at 12 I was on a minivan bound to Hat Yay, Thailand, and caught the 20 hours train to Bangkok, but this is another story, for another time…
WEOTSKAM is about to make 3 of our new songs available on Bandcamp, wait a few days, please. I am very sorry to put the band on hold for a while, but I am India bound, and there is no turning back. Next year, we will release our first full-length album, if you care about WEOTSKAM and would love to release or help releasing some damn fast and fine Southeast Asian thrash-core punk, drop me a line.
Speaking of Southeast Asian punk, I have published an article, in ITALIAN, for China Files, talking about the infamous treatment reserved to Aceh’s Punks. Check it out here.
More on many things later. the resolution now is to post more, but write less. There is no other way I can manage to keep this thing updated, as I much prefer to spend my time outdoors, rather than in front of a computer.
Meanwhile, I wish you all a merry Christmas, happy New Year, and whatever in-between. If you are Chinese, well, your New Year will come soon so do not complain, ok? A big Dragon will raise over the Earth quite soon….

Spero ti basti, cazzo.
