Howard has created a beautiful lodge intertwined with the surrounding environment, going above and beyond for any guests needs, the wildlife reserve he has created is fantastic for bird spotting and if you're lucky enough to be there when he does his edible and medicinal plants tour and traditional rungus lunch don't hesitate.

This was a very cool place with traditional types of rooms and lots of activities (which we didn’t have a whole lot of time to explore, but they were there). The host, Howard, was an amazing guy and gave us a ton of information and invited us to a baby turtle release. You can tell how passionate he was about the place.

Had a great two nights stay in this nature paradise. Howard, the owner, has a deep knowledge of the region and its culture. He will make your stay super easy going and can drop you around if you have no vehicle. Accommodation is very basic and that's exactly why you're going there! If you are scared of little insects, you shouldn't be in Borneo at the first place so move on! Thanks for this stay, loved the refreshing shower after a hot day! For the rustic jungle setting, everything about our room and facilities was as we expected. Rough. Wonderful. Fun. Fantastic. Come with an open mind, a true sense for adventure, and you will love it. Howard is a tremendous host. Always willing to help. His passion for nature and the surrounding community is commendable. The beaches and jungle walks are deserted. All the restaurants are delicious, and there are plenty of little shops to stock up on snacks. Stunning sunsets and beautiful locals. Do yourself a favour and visit this place. It's one of a kind.

This is a genuine amazing Borneo experience with primary rainforest and incredible beaches. Howard who everyone knows in the vicinity is a supreme host and will sort out your daily activities, drive you around and sort out ongoing travel if needed. The chalets are basic and clean. Howard is cutely interested in the environment and its fauna/flora and if you’re lucky like we were there were a group of kids doing a jungle experience who he teaches over breakfast and dinner. Super knowledgeable about the area, people and nature. He was also kind enough to drop us off and pick us up from the beach each day. However we did enjoy the walk down to the beach one day, only 25 minutes ish
