Well, i believe lots of visitors already know that Kuching is famous for its Kolo Mee and must-eat Laksa... so delightfully ubiquitous that you dont have to sweat to find one and the tastes and textures are varied that it might take a week to form a decisive opinion as to which is the best of them all.
Kuchingites are friendly and helpful if you need "snapper".
The city is acceptably clean (8/10) and safe (10/10 during our visit as we did not experience or seen anything untoward: but personal safety is your own baby)

Nice city with a lot of attractions in the city itself and the surrounding area. The nicest surprise is the musical fountain show each evening at Darul Hana bridge. We could have stayed an extra night, as there were a few more attractions worth exploring.
We did half day trips to Bako National Park and the Sarawak Cultural Village and strolled through the old city and along the waterfront. Would recommend visiting, as it probably has more to offer than the more popular Kota Kinabalu.

We loved Kuching felt it was a better option than Kira Kinabalu so much to see and you can visit nature parks that require significantly less travel than KK. We highly recommend Kuching the cultural village and cultural centre are a must!

From my view, so far most of Sarawakian are friendly and helpful, Plenty eating places in Kuching and also best to drive on the road because of the space and also the lane on the road is much bigger than in peninsular Malaysia.
I like the parking system at the mall, eco-friendly absolutely good to use to all facilities. For dinner / dine in i would like to recommend for the people to go to Top Spot Food Court for dinner. Plenty seafood you can choose from and the food is absolutely good to try (Malays, Chinese, and Thai Food). Muslim owner also there you can try,
best shopping mall is at Plaza Merdeka, and Aeon Mall Kuching.
Easy access to walk down to Water front, and also plenty eating places around, lots of shops (kek Lapis + Handy Craft / gifts) and amazing view along the river + Sarawak Assembly Building & Jambatan Darul Hana. Nice to go on the cruise as well for relaxing and enjoy the views along the river in Kuching.
perhaps next time i can avoid the traffic jam especially during peak hours.

I was there on family visit after 20 years, I was shocked of the ammount of new hotels built in Kuching, thats a bit sad because it brings down the nostalgy of kuchings old city centre. Waterfront has been improved over the years and is a happening place at night for nice streetfood and a walk.
There are river cruises to be made, and ofcourse bookings to wildlife centres, cultural village, there is lots to do in Kuching.

Kuching met our expectations.
Kuching met our expectations. Hot and humid: but you're one degree from the equator, right? A safe feel about the place. Friendly and helpful people.
Good value shopping (clothes, colourful fabric products, etc. etc.). Food is varied and delicious: local, Indian, Sri Lankan, Philippine, western (but who would want that?), great snacks on the street and along the river. Easy and cheap air-conditioned transport (but they don't mark bus stops, so get accurate information locally).
Bako was rewarding, to see amazing rock formations, proboscis monkeys, green snakes, boars, and so on; engaging a guide is good value.
Don't miss the Borneo Cultures Museum. It has everything, in a remarkable building that dominates the horizon.
Do it! Share experiences and costs with other tourists.
For the price I paid per night the room is so large. That was great!. I did not take the hotel breakfast but every morning I did go to the coffeehouse just for just coffee, and to my surprise they actually gave us coffee for free for all 3 mornings. This was wonderful. The hotel is 2 minutes walking distance to my conference place in Hilton and also 5 minutes walking distance to the Kuching waterfront. They also have good gym facilities, which I used.
Good value for money and strategically located near the waterfront. Old house, probably a 100yo (but renovated!). Small terrasse at the back to have breakfast, kettle and coffee available inside the room. Café downstairs (same name but seems to be different owner). I recommend Indah café down the street for breakfast (vegetarian and vegan option). They also arrange day trips around Kuching!
The location was situated right at the heart of the town in Kuching. Easily assessable to the waterfront walk where the view during the night is magnificent, Borneo Cultural Museum is a also just within the area, all within 10 mins to 20 mins walk. Those nature attraction would be a bit far as they are situated near the jungle areas where there would certainly be no hotels nearby.
The house is spacious with a top notch furniture and amenities. As a first time traveller in kuching and bring a van of families, this house offers a great location (which is not a crowded area) between airport and city center, ground floor parking area, smart gated system and comfortable family stay. The host also very attentive to answer all queries.
It's a spacious and clean room. You can use kitchen facilities and the washing machine which is great.
It is located in a village just north of Kuching, so if you like local experiences this is for you; if you don't like quite places then you should go for the city center.
You can reach the center easily by walking and ferry (from 6am to 6pm, for 1rm)
It is at the waterfront, located in the centre itself. You can have a boat ride to cross the river. There are many restaurants around. You can also walk around the waterfront. it’s pretty nice. The staff are really nice and helpful. Wifi was pretty good. There is 711 store open 24/7 next to the hotel just in case.
The hotel is within the city center. Easy to move around, access to nearby shopping mall and restaurant. Though the hotel is nearby the main road, the level of sound pollution is acceptable. There is a mini mart down there called LePapa and most of the things that you need for the stay is all available.
It is very nice place to stay👍 u can just walk to Kuching waterfront.. the view also nice especially during sunset😍.. the facilities provided by the owner 👍👍..thank you.
The hotel is located strategically to the riverside.
Walking distance to many food outlets in Kuching city centre.
Walking distance to many tourist spots near riverside.
It is located strategically in the city of Kuching. You can have a good view from your room in the morning (especially for the room that face to the waterfront)
